What about this for a possibility from Canadian Passenger Lists, 1865-1935.

Jane Dewar Duncan
Age:   31   Estimated birth year:   abt 1897
Born   Scotland
Date of Arrival:   17 Jun 1928 on board the Antonia
From Greenock, Scotland

It says she has been in Canada before in 1927 and is touring.

Yes I saw that record earlier BUT just to warn you that this record says Jane was single. Her father was listed as Mr David Duncan, 2 Hillview terrace. Corstorphine, Midlothian. Going to a cousin Alex Maclaren, Glenbrae Farm, Georgetown, Nr Toronto Ontario.

Pushing my luck now I think, but is it possible to find out if they had children and when she died?

Birth records are available up until 1914 at the moment with a year added annually. privacy laws may restrict the amount of further information. Sometimes by using newspaper announcements, cemetery records, obituaries, telephone directories, http://www.canada411.ca/ etc it is possible to trace the families forward, however, so far - no luck  :'(
