*COMPLETED* "Old Gerardians Association" Derby
« on: Monday 26 May 14 20:50 BST (UK) »
I have a newspaper report, from the Derby Daily Telegraph, 10th Feb 1937.
Its mainly about the social activities of The Old Gerardians Association, but mentions an engagement for a couple who come within my current research project.

I can't find any info about this association, but believe that it may have been to do with a Derby School.

Could anyone with local knowledge enlighten me?

Thanks

Boo

Many thanks Gardener :-)
Not quite sure how I missed that when I was searching the newspapers, we'll put it down to old age I think!

My timing is a bit off with this project, apparently Derby local history library has just closed while its being re-located and won't open again in the new premises till November. Though I suppose that Matlock Record Office may have some details of the school.

I will carry on poking round and compile a list of things to enquire about when it re-opens, Gerrard Street School in now on the list :-)
Derby is way off my usual research area, so my local knowledge is minimal, be warned! I may be back :-)

Thanks again for your help, its really appreciated

Boo
