Granny and Great Granny Pilbeam with the children c1940s, Punnetts Town, Sussex

Hi

I am wondering if anyone is able to repair and restore this photo at all.  It is the first and only photo I have seen of my great grandmother.  I scanned it using our photocopier at work at 600dpi and I hope this suffices.  That was the highest setting we had!

I would be very very grateful for anything you can do.

I think this is a bit of an improvement. Broadly I never touch faces as they too easily change recognition. Sorry I can't do better. Toby.

Thanks Toby, that is a vast improvement and my Granny looks how I remember her - always smiling.  My mum who was a twin (twin sister died some years ago) is not sure which one she was, I reckon its that one - she looks grumpy!!! Haha

I'm loving being able to see what my great gran looked like for the first time. 

Toby - Of course I was being polite.   It had nothing to do with the fact I only realised after I had replied and being at work I had to switch off quick as the boss came along!
