Ballycastle townland not Ballycastle Road?

There is a Ballycastle Road outside Newtownards near Mount Stewart the big house and its the wrong John Moore if he lived here in 1901

I posted the link for that John in 1901 in order to confirm that he can't be the correct one. Road names are recent- until about 40 or so years ago the townland would have been the address except in towns, cities and some villages.

Hello , John McBratney Moore is my 3 x Great Grandfather , he was married to Jane Conway.  They were married at Ballycopeland Presbyterian Church in 1849.  My cousin has done some research on the family , but I do not know where they are laid to rest.  My Great Great Grandmother is Mary Moore , who moved to Canada.   My Great Grandmother is her daughter Nettie Lee.  I would be very interested in learning more about the family history as I am just starting to explore it.

Hi Sheeley, i gave you wrong info  William Robert Moore son of John McBratney Moore  married Lizzie Ann Strain  in Ireland in 1893 and moved to Illinois  Cook Chicago USA
