FULLER, John Henry Long
« on: Thursday 11 September 14 22:41 BST (UK) »
I am trying to find out what became of John Henry Long Fuller
From my research on Ancestry.com.au I have found John Henry Long Fuller (JHLF) Baptized in the Manchester Chapel of Christ Lancashire 15 June 1837. Also Hannah Elizabeth Fuller was baptised on the same day. They are the children of John Henry Fuller (born 19/7/1807 Wells Somerset) and Elizabeth Ryan (born approx. 1827 Liverpool Lancashire).
Elizabeth and Hannah seem to have disappeared, I have assumed they died, although I haven't found a record of their deaths.
John Henry Fuller remarried Elizabeth Shuttleworth Bell 5 March 1853 at Aston, St Peter & St Paul Warwickshire. They moved to Australia with their children in 1869 however JHLF was not on the passenger list.
My last record of JHLF was in the 1861 census age 24. He was living with John Henry and Elizabeth and their children at Broughton, Borough of Talford and was a commercial traveller (tea).
I am tracing the family of my Mum's father, Victor de Vaux Dorset Fuller

Hi

Quote
and Elizabeth Ryan (born approx. 1827 Liverpool Lancashire).

Do you mean 1807 or 1817?  She could not have been b 1827 if JHL was b 1837

1841 for Eccles - all b Lancs except John Henry snr and Bonville.  Suspect Elizabeth was previously married

John Henry Fuller 30 not b Lancs
Elizabeth  50 (as per image)
Bonville 15 not b Lancs  - see https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/NV26-QJC
Hannah Elizabeth 6
John Henry  4

Oops. Trying to do things in a hurry. Those are the details for John's second wife. I actually don't know anything about Elizabeth Ryan, other than marrying John.

Thanks for the other information. Good to know Hannah was still around. James Cannings Fuller is John Henry's brother. He moved to New York.

The reference to Elizabeth 50 (as per image) - I'm not sure where to find the image.

Suspect Elizabeth was previously married
Yes she was a widow when she married John Henry Fuller.
John's occupation was salesman and they married by licence.
Witnesses were J Smith and Thomas Parry
Think Thomas Parry was a church official he shows up on the rest of the page but I can't see another J Smith. Could be he has some connection with the family.

Fabulous. Thanks.

I still can't see the 1841 census record. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place. I can see the image for the birth of Bonville Fuller. I do have access to the 1841 census on Ancestry.com.au however I'm drawing a blank when I search for Fullers.

So if John Henry Long Fuller was a travelling salesman, he could have ended up anywhere I suppose.

I'm wondering if this is the first Elizabeth in 1851 - the ""Royans" (as per Ancestry) are actually Ryans. Living in Scott St

Henry Royan    29 - packer, b Salford
Ann Royan    28 - b Ireland
George Royan    2 - b Manchester
Eliza Royan    1/12 b Manchester
Eliza Fuller    55 - mother, b Manchester. Married. Traveller's wife
