Hello Lucy, My grandfather was James Stanley Arlidge, son of Sidney Benjamin Arlidge who was the son of Benjamin Thomas Arlidge.  Sidney Benjamin Arlidge was a half brother to Florence Arlidge (b; 1878 d: 1934)  who married Charles Garood in 1903.  James Stanley Arlidge resided in Birkenhead England, he died 1970.  His daughter, my mother,  Ethel Mildred Arlidge  died in 2000 in Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia, Canada.   Close relatives include Griffin, Ward.

Apologies for not replying sooner.  I went on holiday right after I heard from you and then back to work.  I'm taking advantage of the Easter break to send you some pics I thought you might be interested to see.  I apologise for the quality - I took them with my mobile phone quickly at my mother's house.

The photos are wonderful.  Thank you very much!  I would be interested in others.  Are you working on an Arlidge genealogy by any chance? I have been trying to put one together and have been able to get back to Richard Arlidge who had three children born between 1769 and 1777.    If your grandparents were Percy Charles Garrood and Florence V. Lacey, then this would make us 3rd cousins.
