Coffey/ Foley, Curraghbeg, Glencar, Kerry
« on: Sunday 21 September 14 22:49 BST (UK) »
Hi,
Looking for information or descendants of Michael Coffey/ Johanna Coffey (nee Foley) from Curraghbeg, Glencar, circa 1845 - 1900.

One of their children, also Michael, is living with his own wife and family at Curraghbeg in the 1901 and 1911 censuses.

Thanks in advance.

Now to look for Michael...

Hi Sinann.

Thanks for your quick reply. I have seen those entries on Irishgenealogy, but don't know where next to go

I know Johanna's date of death and received the cert from the GRO. I'm looking for descendants who might be able to shed some more light on the family in Curraghbeg 1845 to 1900 approx.

Thanks again Sinann

Sorry you did give a time period, I guess you know his marriage is on that site as well, I'm assuming he is the Michael married to Julia.

Have you tried looking for marriages for any of those births?

Scrap that idea no father's names seem to be recorded on marriages.

Thanks Sinann.
I know the younger Michael who is on the censuses had two other brothers - Patrick and James. Think they were born about 1847 and 1857 respectively, but can't find their births. Presumably they're on the mutilated records held for Glencar.
I know a good bit about James as he moved to Dublin in 1877 to become a policeman. Have a thread on here about him and have gathered quite a lot of info.
