The marriage to Elizabeth Court is correct as his brother Albert Alfred Tubbs did indeed marry Bertha Court. Albert is my great, great grandfather.

His descendent is my grandmother

Frederick in 1901

Head   Frederick Tubes   40
Wife   Elizabeth Tubes   35
Daughter   Elsie M Tubes   9
Daughter   Anny Bertha Tubes   4
Son   Fred T Tubes   1
Lodger   Albert A Tubes   35

You were right about Frederick marrying Dolly Mary Bourne being his son and it not being a remarriage

If you check free bmd - you will find 4 possible daughters to Tubes/Bourne.  Obviously cannot name here in case still living -  marriages for all 4 are easily picked up. Once you pick those up - you can move on and find children to those couples.  I am presuming that you know how to do that  ???

Yes I do thanks Sandra

A bit off topic, but finding out about Frederick solved a little family mystery

I have an old book that belonged to an Amy Tubbs.

I never knew whom she was, until today you found out that she was Frederick's daughter

Looks like Amy and George Smart only had 1 son.
Perhaps Amy died young - Amy Smart - born 1897 died March 1926 aged 29 years. Birmingham North Warwickshire - 6d 430
