Jasper appears to be with his grandparents in 1871 in Eccles.  He is noted as the son of David and Agnes Stewart but since they are 66 and 62 respectively I rather doubt they are his parents.  Helen is not with them.

There's a Helen Stewart born in Kelso aged 35 in 1871, who is living in Edinburgh in the house of Hope Stewart, a portrait painter.

The only thing is, she is a lady's maid, which is rather a jump from Ag Lab in 10 years!
