Margaret Tregenoe who married William Matson 9th June 1698 at Ripple?
« on: Sunday 14 December 14 17:29 GMT (UK) »
Hello,
I have had a long search trying to identify Margaret and William. This particular line went on to be millers in Deal, Kent.
There are many Matsons in East Kent but so far I have completely failed to trace this particular William.
He is recorded as a batchelor and Margaret a spinster in the Deal marriage record.
As Tregenoe is a very distinctive name and seems to come from the Cornwall area, I wondered if anyone could please help with finding if Margaret's family originally came from the west country and perhaps there is even a record of a Matson family in the county.
I believe that Margaret's parents are living in Deal when she was born.
A possible baptism at Deal on 16 January 1669/70 the daughter of Ebenezer/Eleazar (ovt) Tryginie and Michall
Any ideas would be really welcome.
