Where is this wedding in Windygates, Cooper?

In a 1970s family tree two Aunts wrote that my Welsh Grandfather John Edward Hughes (Ted) and his bride Janet Anderson Mitchell (Jessie) 'were married in the house at Windygates, Cooper, Scotland' also writing of Jessie that this was her home. Ted met Jessie in Edinburgh whilst in an Army hospital c.1918 recovering and they were married in 1926 living in the hamlet of Penybont near Oswestry.

Does anyone reccognise the house in this newly identified photo, which seems to be of their wedding? (Ted and Jessie front couple)

Cooper would be Cupar, Fife.

Thanks, we might not know the location of the house yet but at least we now know the right town or village.

Windygates is a fair distance from Cupar, between Kennoway and Methilhill.

There was a Windygates Farm at Ladybank just a few miles from Cupar.

You're right, I never noticed that - there might even be two people.

I've had a look through some things but can't find any reference to Windygates apart from the ones already mentioned:

This was written when the groom not the bride was with us so may be his recollection of the address. Of photographs etc I can find:
One family group stamped Norman & Brown Dundee;
One postcard/photo of an unknown lady with two children and pencilled in the back is 'Miss Grieve, Maggie and Sandy' and the postact is printed on the back 'Cupar Studios Ltd, South Bridge Studio, Cupar-Fife'.
A photo on thick cardboard of two children marked Edwin J walker 48 Victoria Road Dundee
A newspaper cutting 'Methil Couple Wed', he of Wellesley Rd, Methil.

None of these, bar perhaps the 'Miss Grieve' one if anyone recognises the name, seem to me to narow the actual Windygates address down...

What was Ted's pre war occupation and the date of marriage was 1926? Bride's address on marriage certificate?
