One more thought is if you know where her parents are buried and they have a gravestone there might be a mention of her on that with a date of death :)

Thanks to everyone for all those hints. The info about Firbanks is interesting. I think I still have a lot of detective work to do.

With regard to parent's burials. I don't have where either is buried. Father died in Radcliffe Infirmary and mother in Ackland Nursing Home, Oxford. Neither would appear to be useful. I would guess that as they both had very long links with Eynsham, that they may well be buried there. Mother was born and lived there almost all her life and father had the bulk of his adult life there.
