Hope you find something out  :)

One other thought is that her sister married so if she had children there could be descendants who might know something.  Long shot but you never know.

Thanks for the research and suggestions. I have contacted Eynsham History Society who did the original research for their 1998 publication, but that was a long time ago, but there's always a chance. Still hope someone can provide some info, though.
Your answer may lie in her mothers Will, it may give Alison's address and also if she was still single, or married if she was it may also mention grandchildren

Yes it's a good thought but if she died as a young adult she would have been long gone by the time her mother died.

Yes, if she had died, she may not be mentioned, and that would narrow down the time frame, for her death

She was born in Jul-Sep 1903 quarter at Eynsham. This probably means that the Alison Cruickshank who went to Kenya is a 'Red Herring'.  Funny that there appears to be no record of a marriage, if she did marry! As the daughter of the local doctor I would have expected some record. Also why no record of her death. I cannot find any newspaper record at present. The Eynsham History Society article from 1998 says she died tragically as a young adult.

Hi, I thought you may have had her actual birth date, has from this, we can then look at the death records, on the later ones the birth date is given, and  we can then look at all the Alison's with that birth date, as she may have married, and this may lead us  to a death record for her.

I'm out in the 'twigs on the twigs' of my tree with her, but I like to tidy things as much as possible.
