1881 census Merthyr Tydfil Workhouse

Hoping for assistance please William Morgan (harpist) was discharged from the Merthyr workhouse on the 1st May 1882 Is there Any way that a William Morgan (harpist)  might be located in the 1881 census assuming that he was there  in1881. Is there records of the people who were in the workhouse kept anywhere. Thank  you. Eirwen

This the website you could look at, the inmates of the MT workhouse in 1881 are here too, but cannot see your man. They could come into the workhouse for a few days and then discharge themselves. http://www.workhouses.org.uk/MerthyrTydfil/

Thankyou so much for the quick reply .Much appreciated Am going to contact Glamorgan archives have been informed that they hold all admissions and discharge right up to the 1920's. Regards Eirwen
