I'm looking for information on my gt grandfather Michael John Donohoe, from County Cork and for any other members of his family.  I don't know when he was born (? circa 1875-80).  He emigrated to Australia when he was in his late teens and married an Alice Ada Smith - again, I don't know when. 

They were married in SOUTH AUSTRALIA:

Michael John DONOHOE age 58yrs, single m. Alice Ada SMITH age 57yrs, single, 07/01/1931 at the Registry Office Adelaide; District: Ade; Book/Page: 326/27

I have a Marriage Certificate for his daughter, Alice Ethel on 16/1/1922 in Perth, Australia to Frederick David Baldwin.  Alice Ethel Donohoe was aged 19.

Alice Ethel DONOHOE's birth registration in WA shows the maiden name of her mother as HENDERSON not SMITH. Do you know if Alice Ada was previously married? Perhaps the reason for the very late marriage that took place in South Australia & she fibbed about her single status
