Over 60% of WW1 service records were burnt during the WW2 blitz.  No trace of your William.

There is no Medal Roll Index entry for a William Flavel with that regimental number serving in the Worcester Regiment

However - there is this entry and he died in England as his death is registered on freebmd

Thank you so much Carole.

This is my William. His wife was Minnie.
I wonder if there is a headstone?

Kindest Regards

Update;

I have William Flavel death certificate.
He died in The Military Hospital Devonport, Plymouth, of wounds- self inflicted.
Hmm.

Where would I find the Inquest records?
Cheers
