what happen to Ann
Richard was with Ann in 1871
Richard was a widower by 1881
so Ann died sometime during those 10 years

Look at the census in 1871 to see where they were living
then look at the census 1881 to see where Richard was living

Then go to freeBMD and look for deaths in the counties for Ann of the correct age (b abt 1810/11)
and maybe you will find possible deaths for Ann

We are not supposed to do look ups for information you can look up freely.

It is also a good way to learn how to research
