Brayton Family 1700's Stonehaven

I'm searching for the Brayton ancestors of Francis b. ca. 1611, arrived in 1642 Rhode Island Colony.

My brother once visited Stonehaven and recalls a portrait of a Brayton hanging in a pub, and that it had to do with Clan Gordon and the 1700's.

Hoping that this will be a clue to tracking down Francis' ancestors.
