James Hardy marriage Sarah Hughes
« on: Tuesday 03 February 15 17:49 GMT (UK) »
Hi,

Marriage took place in Brymbo, Denbighshire 19 November 1824,  I have the FS transcription and local paper announcement  but I would like to see the entry in the Denbigh Parish Register.  I understand this is on-line but cannot find.

Help please.

Mike.

The marriage may well be given as taking place at Brymbo. However quite a few of these marriages despite Family Search/FindMyPast records took place at St Giles Wrexham.

Nothing to match your criteria on FindMyPast but by coincidence I came across this:

JAMES BARLOW parish Wrexham married SARAH HUGHES parish Wrexham
BRYMBO, Denbighshire 29 Nov1824.

It may be a red herring as two other Sarah Hughes got married to a  James in Denbighshire that year.

Colin
Clarke, Trickett, Orton, Lawless, Norton, Detheridge, Kirby, Goodfellow, Wagstaff, Lowe, etc.

The announcement in The Chester Courant and Anglo Welsh Gazette Dec. 7th 1824 refers to his trade as Iron Master which he was, and states 'all from Wrexham' so I think this is the marriage.  Just would like to see the entry in the register.  The link from FS and FindMyPast to view is down.

Thanks to William and kilwinning - my typing error, the wedding date was 29th November.

Mike.

Hi Mike, the James Barlow to Sarah Hughes in 1824 as a matter of interest his occupation was an Ironmaster (or that is what it looks like)!

Witnesses John Hughes and Margaret Siddele/Liddele
