The Scotsman has a digital archive here: http://archive.scotsman.com/. It is free to search but pay to view, and there are short and long subscription options.

In Scotland, members of some libraries can access it free.

If you live in Scotland you can register with the National Library of Scotland online to access it's digital services, this will give you free online access to the Scotsman's Digital Archive 1817 to 1950.
