Alfred J Barlow 1878-1927, Martha Pershouse 1876-1956

Hi,  Alfred and Martha were married 1899 West Bromwich, Staffordshire, 6d,952.  I can only find one sibling, Miranda Barlow b c1905,- RG14,17312,141.  Surely there must be more than one sibling?  Can some one on here please check.  Thank you.

 Do you mean sibling  or child ??

 The image  of the  last  census     shows  more than one child ,   It's possible that  for  various reasons  only  2  children were  born ,    My great  uncle  only  had 2 children  back in the early 1900's   one died  young

There are many different circumstances as to couples 'only' having 2 live births, and there is no reason why this is unusual or suspect.

In case you have n't got the church , westmidlandsbmd give the church as st james west bromwich for the marriage.

I have another Barlow who moved down to West Bromwich a generation before Alfred Barlow, proving equally difficult to trace.

Robert Barlow, b1837, 1861 census, 2029,4,4 living Hill Top West Bromwich.  Married to unknown 1864, BMD marriage index 6b,916 West Bromwich (I think the right one).

Cannot find any other census records beyond 1861 other than a possible death in 1872, BMD death index, 11b, 266. - I am not sure about this one although he is back in the area where baptised.

Can someone on here find the missing census records 1871, 1881 Please.  There is another Robert Barlow listed but b1842 with a spouse Jane  (1881, 3852,14,30) but discarded because of age difference

Any help much appreciated,

I would guess Louisa Jane  born Dec 1867 West Bromwich has the same name as her mother and therefore that marriage in 1864 would be to Louisa Hadley.

1871 has them in Sams Lane 2980/10/14

Albert 9months

Possible death Mar 1897 age 56 6b 550
He may have wanted to reduce his age because his wife was so much younger than him.
It's the only one  I can spot.
