Isaac Booth - looking for marriage

Mosiefish.  Well, that's an excellent website. Have added it to my favourites. Thank you for sending details and then finding the marriage for me. So Isaac was single. Kind of scotches the idea of a second marriage then.

Josey. Yes, I realise Eliza might have been a half-sister. If I can find her baptism...but maybe she was illegitimate from a liaison Isaac had earlier. He was 15 years older than Martha. Now there's a thought. I have a lot to mull over.

I cant find her with them in 1851?
I can only find Eliza 1821, Daughter, a Tea Dealer in 1851

I probably misled you - it was late!
Yes, you have the right censuses there.
1841, 1851 and 1861, Eliza is with her parents in Burslem.
It was indeed 1871 when she is with her brother Isaac and family, but she is clearly marked as aged 50; so not sure what you meant by c1837.

Well, this was most interesting. And it could well be Eliza because if that marriage is right - and we believe it is - then Eliza was born prior to their marriage.

Well done you for finding the baptism. The spanner is really why the name Maria instead of Eliza?
Hell, we can't have everything, I suppose!!
