Hi I am looking for the parish records for Leintwardine for 1889..
My ancestors married in Leintwardine then

I have the marriage cert but I am just wondering what the parish registers actually say..

I have tried the usual and looked on forbeares website but it says see Powys registers...
But Leintwardine obviously isnt jn them because its in Herefordshire ...

Any one know ?

Hello,
You could perhaps try here http://www.sfhs.org.uk

The Parish Register won't say anything different from the  Marriage Certificate you have already obtained

Assuming a church wedding, the original will be in the church records, and a copy will have been sent into the Register Office, a copy of that will have been sent into GRO (and you will have a copy of this)

Unless you have some reason to suspect an error, there will be no difference in the copy you have.

The original church records are most likely at Hereford Record Office.
Wainwright - Yorkshire
Whitney - Herefordshire
Watson -  Northamptonshire
Trant - Yorkshire
Helps - all
Needham - Derbyshire
Waterhouse - Derbyshire
Northing - all

Hi,
Thanks all for the links I wi check them out

Its not that I suspect error, It is that it seems my guy possibly lied about his fathers name and all in all seems to be quite confusing
And just wondered what the registers might say in the very unlikely case that the cert is wrong:)
