I've found the burial register.

William Bullen of Albury aged 37 years was buried at Albury on 6 June 1846.

So take the online family tree date with a pinch of salt as it's unlikely he was buried on the same day he died.
Ayr: Barnes, Wylie
Caithness: MacGregor
Essex: Eldred (Pebmarsh)
Gloucs: Timbrell (Winchcomb)
Hants: Stares (Wickham)
Lincs: Maw, Jackson (Epworth, Belton)
London: Pierce
Suffolk: Markham (Framlingham)
Surrey: Gosling (Richmond)
Wilts: Matthews, Tarrant (Calne, Preshute)
Worcs: Milward (Redditch)
Yorks: Beaumont, Crook, Moore, Styring (Huddersfield); Middleton (Church Fenton); Exley, Gelder (High Hoyland); Barnes, Birchinall (Sheffield); Kenyon, Wood (Cumberworth/Denby Dale)

Going off track but looks like Emily marries the visitor from 1851 on 17 Apr 1852 - Richard Freelove.

Yes, it seems Mr Freelove had to give up his free love and marry the woman.  :)

So take the online family tree date with a pinch of salt as it's unlikely he was buried on the same day he died.

So, taking into account this and the fact that the family stayed on in Albury after he died, this would seem to be the most likely burial? The date in the census, could well be wrong, I guess.

I say avm228, what resource are you using, to identify marriage witnesses?

You don't say what resources you are using for your research, but if you go to Ancestry.co.uk (using a subscription, pay-as-you-go or through your local library) you will find relevant baptism, marriage and burial registers.  Marriage registers show the signatures of the couple's witnesses.

I'm using Find My Past at the moment, but I must say, I'm not enjoying it much. I can't even pull up this marriage record at the moment, though I know it exists.

Anyhow, thanks for your help. Now to find the correct birth/baptism.....

It exists, but the original register image is not in FindMyPast's collection.  They have transcriptions of Surrey marriages, including this one.

Yes, I found it immediately after posting. I've also found another baptism in Woking on 24 Sep 1809. That's another possibility.

When my subscription expires, I think I'll try Ancestry.

Cheers.
