Just a quick question for you hun, is Jemimah connected to the Davies family at all?

Reason I ask is because there is a tree showing up on ancestry for a Jemima Shephard birth 1816 Somerset, tree belongs to Davies Family.

could well be.this davies family have they got a sarah davies born about 1824 married robert hughes born 1818 honiton???nothing to do with jemimah as far as i know but i have been looking for that sarah for years.

I can confirm that no entry occurs in the Chewton Mendip PR for Jemimah, although there were several Shepherd/Sheppard families resident there- was she from a travelling family? There is a Jemima Sheppard baptised at Stoke Lane on 8th April 1824, day of William and Hannah, although the father was a carpenter, so presumably resident in the village

the question is from a friend of mine and shes not sure if they were travellers or not as she thought the middle name might have been hearn.so answer is i dont know??

The 1841 census on ancestry shows a record for a Jemima Sheppard born about 1811 in Somerset.

Sorry - not checking posts correctly before sending! The date of the Stoke Lane baptism (via FreeReg) was 1814 not 1824, so it could be the 1841 Census Jemima, allowing for rounding of ages
