Windom or Windorn

Totally confused!   Horace David Burt married at Parish Church, Hingham 31st Dec 1916, according to his WW1 record he married Beatrice Kirby Windom......but on Freebmd the record states he marries Elizabeth K Windom or Windorn, I am trying to find Elizabeth or Beatrice's (really not sure of her first name!) birth but Freebmd is coming up with no one of that surname countrywide.......Horace was born in 1888.   Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

Beatrice Kirby WindoN is on the last census available in Lewisham, a 'Laundry Matron' born c1886 in Hendon

Then, back in 1901 she's with her widowed Mum Annie (born c1866, Brighton - a Charwoman I think).

Beatrice is shown c1887, born Surrey, Neadon - but the image could well be Hendon .....

I cant find a Birth Index entry - but I wonder - look at that marriage I just edited in my original posting - in Hendon District ...

so was Beatrice illegitimate and they gave her a middle name of Kirby after they married ?

ah - 1891 census in the proper surname (how does one get Windom etc from Windebank ?)

thank you all!...it's know wonder we all get confused!....I have have many Surname spelling variations..........but Windon to Windebank.....

I couldnt find a Death Index entry for Thomas Windebank - also, another mystery  ..... his father (from the 1871 Census) was a David Windebank (Farrier & Smith) born c1826, Berkshire, Basildon - marries Elizabeth Topper in Reading in late 1840s   ...... but no sign of the family in 1851 ?
