Check the cwgc site for any further details on his next of kin.  Check 1911 census for offspring.

I believe findmypast is free this week end.

Where did you find the approx year of marriage?
Im not seeing a marriage for a John Bridge to a Nellie around that time, at least not in Suffolk.
Edmonds/Edmunds - mainly Sussex
DeBoo - London
Green - Suffolk
Parker - Sussex
Kemp - Essex
Farrington - Essex
Boniface - West Sussex

Was John born as John (in Bury St Edmunds) or was that a middle name?

3 armed forces deaths showing for 1918, a John, and 2 John J, (Lab Cps, Lincs R, Glos H)which is your John?

Thank-you

Added:
Ok, Labour Corps, born Risby, Suffolk which still gives Bury St Edmunds birth place.

Did Nellie marry again after John's death, or have you got a death for her as Nellie Bridge?

Thank you all for input
This has been a problem for a long time, I only have wife Nellie Bridge on his Attestation papers.
and since posting I have been told the marriage could have been 1909.
If it helps her husband miliotary details are -  JohnBridge 60287 Labour Corps formerly 28995 Royal Fusiliers.
Thank you all for help

So which is the proposed marriage in 1909, and where?

Thank-you

Chempat
I am completely in the dark on this one, all I have been given is that Nellie and John married in 1909 I presume Bury St Edmunds.
Thanks anyway

I'm wondering why his death record lists him as brother of , rather than husband of.

Suggests that he was unwed. http://www.cwgc.org/find-war-dead/casualty/516201/BRIDGE,%20J

Nellie could also have been an Ellen/Eleanor.
The church walk address was on his attestation? what year was that?
1911 occupier is a Mr Lomax , his housekeeper and her two sons.

So we have a John Bridge with brother D.

?
Births Sep 1867
Bridge    David        Thingoe    4a   476

Births Mar 1868
BRIDGE    John        Thingoe    4a   478

Is this totally wrong, as I was imagining looking for someone in their 20's, not in their 40's/50's?

How did you get to John, and how old was he?

Thanks.
