Many thanks given the names involved this is a strong candidate. I hadn't picked this record up previously, possibly due to spelling! I will certainly be checking Knutsford christenings for a William and a Susannah/Susan now.

That's interesting. Any idea what the "or Jersey" bit means? Not come across that before.
