If this sounds familiar it's because it came up in this thread
http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=601757.18I'm trying to find Michael Traynor and family in the 1911 Census.
I have his marriage cert, which I'm 100% sure of, on it his father is Hugh a Lab so a Labourer.
Everything I've ever read or heard about Michael says he is from Belfast, I even remember him talking about his brother having a shop in Belfast.
In an interview in May 1981 he is given the age of 74 so born 1907ish, his death is too late to look up on FamilySearch and to early for online death notices I couldn't find a newspaper notice and his headstone doesn't give his age.
There was only one likely looking birth on FamilySearch so I got that cert.
1907 Jan and the father is Hugh a Labourer, mother Rose Anne.
address 195 Mountpottinger Road. Which is on the Down side of Belfast.
This couple look likely in 1901
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Down/Pottinger/Thompson_Street/1215605/I can't find them in 1911
I've tried all the surnames in the title,
tried just Hugh etc
oh every combination I can think of at this stage also the names in Irish
Aodh
and Roisin
I'm still going through the results on the Irish ones.
I'm thinking they just refused to fill it in, I've tried just the House and Building return on likely streets but no luck so far.
if anyone fancys a go at it, knock yourself out
