Lucy Smith born 1896 Castleford Died 1912

Have found Lucy on the 1901 and 1911 census the latter living at 32 Pottery Street, Castleford.  I know she married Aaron James in 1911 in Pontefract and had a son Aaron James born 19/5/1911 and a son George James in 1912. She probably died in childbirth and was buried 24/12/1912 in Whitwood Mere Castleford.  1911 with George Waud and Sarah born 1866.  Found the marriage reg June 1898 Pontefract for George  Waud and Sarah Smith. 1911 census shows Lucy Smith, Mary, Beatrice as step daughters to George.  There is also a Maria Smith born 1902 showing as a grandchild.  So Sarah would have been about 16 when her first child was born.  Would like to know if anyone can help with the fathers name for Lucy and her mothers maiden name.  Is there any parish records for the marriage or any baptisms for any of the children?

Have found a marriage on BMD  reg March 1883 Barnsley for a George William Smith to a Sarah Bower. Mary Smith on the 1901 census born 1883 says Barnsley. Can you find the family on the 1891 census?

This is great news.  In 1898 Sarah Smith is married to George Waud if I got the right one. Can you see a death for George William Smith?

This looks to be Sarah as a child.

Her mother, Sarah Bower is listed as unmarried.

Had just been looking at that census record.  When Sarah Smith widow married George Waud widower  gave fathers name as Frank Bowers.  Can you seen a death for George William Smith before 1898?
