Programme about women in the Cotton Industry
« on: Monday 16 March 15 11:25 GMT (UK) »
Just listening to a programme on Radio 4 - "Voices from Our Industrial Past: Women" - which tries to put some flesh on the bones about the attitudes of women in the 19th century cotton trade.

Worth a listen. Should be on iPlayer later today.
Looking at ALSTON in south Ribble area, ALSTEAD and DONBAVAND/DUNBABIN etc. everywhere, HOWCROFT and MARSH in Bolton and Westhoughton, PICKERING in the Whitehaven area.
