Hi

As explained in a previous thread on the Morgan family FindMyPast is the only website which allows an address search for those censuses.

Their T & C's of membership prohibit publication of that info

Are you saying that if I go to Kew and look at the 1881 and 1871 census and type in George Morgan. And Ystrad it will not show me all the George Morgan's and then I can search for Gelly Road Ystrad. Or have I got it all wrong .Did not mean to upset anyone with my request. Regards Eirwen

Hi

No upset - honest.  Your request was for an address search for who was living at Gelly Rd in 1871/1881

FindMyPast is the only site with a specific address search facility for those census years but you may be able to find him by using the 1871 and 1881 on FS which give addresses

Hi

What do you know about the brother who died?
Where were they born, How old was the brother at death?

Ancrustry says there is a george powell morgan (in GELLI road) who would have been a teenager when his brother died.

All I know about WILLIAM Morgan was that he was 52yrs old when he died and that he was a harpist., I found an obituary in the newspaper of the death but all it said was WILLIAM. Morgan a harpist had died No relatives named. Believe he might have been born in Merthyr Tydfil about     1838/ 9 if he is located in maybe the 1891 census it might tell me something. Regards Eirwen

Hi Eirwen

"All I know about WILLIAM Morgan was that he was 52yrs old when he died and that he was a harpist.,"
"Afraid all I know about George is his name wish to know if he was married"

?

So how did you get to the position of wanting to know more about them?
Other relatives?

The reason I am l looking for information is that my great grandfather was WILLIAM Morgan a harpist information from my grandfather's birth and marriage certificates . All I know about the family is his wife wasMary Richards . She was married in the 1881 census but WILLIAM not at home and in the 1891 census  Mary is a widow . The only census I have ever found WILLIAM in is the 1871 census which  made him born Merthyr in   About 1838ish . So he would be about 52 yrs in 1891  when the WILLIAM which I have located died. As stated  apart from the 1871 census I have no knowledge about William whatsoever. Thank you for showing an interest in my research. Regards Eirwen
