hi can anyone tell me what the uniform was for the 59th foot  between 1853 and 1866 please -an image if possible , thank you in advance

No Jim, those are the 1812 -1815 uniforms. OP, three uniform designs involved, 1844 - 1855 (long tailed cutaway coats and 'Albert pots'), 1856 (double breasted longish skirted jackets and French style kepi's), 1857 - 1859 (single breasted  longish skirted jackets and French style kepi's) and 1860 (single breasted short skirted jackets and French style kepi's).



Griffiths Llandogo, Mitcheltroy, Mon. and Whitchurch Here (Also Edwards),  18th C., Griffiths FoD 19th Century.

I too have been looking for a picture of the 5th for the same dates as you, so far I Have not found any.       Ll

This is from the time of the Crimean War. Most infantry uniforms were the same. Only the number on the helmet and colour of the facings (colours and cuffs) were different.
