Elizabeth Currey
« on: Tuesday 24 March 15 20:24 GMT (UK) »
Hi,

Elizabeth Currey was married to James Leech. They married around 1873 in London? Elizabeth's father was George Currey. Elizabeth was born around 1850. Can anyone find her in the 1861/1871 census please? I believe she worked in a workhouse, but stopped when she got married.

Thanks if you find anything :)

Tabitha

Elizth Curry aged 18 removed by the St James parish guardians back to Bethnal Green in 1868 - but no further details

Birth?
Elizabeth Sarah Curry
Q2 1850    Bethnal Green, Vol 2, p50

There is an Elizabeth ann and an Eliza born a little earlier and later respectively than 1851 - their father George is a coffee house keeper or cold meat vendor, so not sure it's either of those

Unless she was being economical with the truth on her marriage certificate her father was a stonemason.

A tree on Ancestry has her birth as 12 Apr 1850 in Bethnal Green, Middlesex, but no source given.
