Where did you have the marriage cert from?

I have knowledge of a marriage cert ordered from a register office and the Groom and his father had  both been given the occupation of "hangman" -they were Dairymen!! When challenged the office staated "sometimes we have difficulty reading the register and have to guess!

If the marriage took place in a church/chapel it may be worth putting out a post to see if anyone has access to the image of the Parish Register - remember to post a link to this topic !

If Sarah's baptism or birth reg could be found (I haven't checked) then that would give father's name

Thanks again Suz,
Thats good,we can forget about Moore now. I have a few certificates with wrong information on. M-in Law Clara (Howell) has many deliberate mistakes on her Birth,Marriage (x2) and Death certificates, such as marriage 1919 & 1934 father deceased, (his death cert. is correct d 1947)
