GOODMAN Aspley Guise and Husborne Crawley
« on: Friday 27 March 15 13:25 GMT (UK) »
In trying to identify the origins of Henry GOODMAN, who married Susannah HOLMES at Walton in 1775 and then lived in Willen until their deaths in 1833 and 1783 respectively, I have discovered the marriage entry describes Henry as of Aspley Guise.

Although the NBI provides a number of burials there from 1750-1800 there appear to have been no GOODMAN christenings there between 1750 and 1773. In contrast there are multiple christenings at Husborne Crawley over the same period including one Henry in 1756.

Has anyone any knowledge of the GOODMAN families in these villages at that time?

There are 7 baptisms for Goodman  between 1759 and 1767 in Apsley Guise on FreeREG, but no Henry.
