Good to see you got what you needed from Archway. I just wasn't thinking WW1!  Duh!

And good luck with WW2! 😃

Cheers
Jeanne

I think this is him at school in Ohaewai, Bay of Islands
http://whakapapa.maori.org.nz/lists.php?list_id=14

It also lists
Emily Lemon 1891
Ellen Lemon 1891 (Rena?)
Paul Lemon 1892
Harry Lemon 1896 (Rere?)

Maybe a brother and two sisters?
None in the NZbdm with an H or an A Lemon as a father.

From paperspast
http://paperspast.natlib.govt.nz/cgi-bin/paperspast?a=d&cl=search&d=AS19160222.2.108&srpos=3&e=-------10--1----0Lemon+Ohaewai--

Feb 1916 the 50th aniversary of the arrival of the Mary Shepard a fully rigged ship
bringing some Irish immigrants, sailed out of England? Perhaps this is where the Lemon name came from in this area?

A.Lemon of Taumarere

*Taumarere is at Moerewa
Wemyss/Crombie/Laing/Blyth (West Wemyss)
Givens/Normand (Dysart)
Clark/Lister (Dysart)
Wilkinson/Simson (Kettle or Kettlehill)

There is another soldier at Archways

David Lemon died 1916 at Roeun, France
Son of Margaret Jane Lemon, of Taumarere, Bay of Islands, New Zealand, and the late Alexander Lemon.
Sister Miss E.Lemon of Taumarere
Brothers Jack (John) Lemon
William Lemon

(I think I would have to order Harry Manuel Lemons death cert to get his parents names - he didn't pass on any DNA to our family nor Nita Bowyer, so perhaps I will just leave this. I've certainly learnt alot about Harry Manuel Lemon that I never thought to look for before)
Wemyss/Crombie/Laing/Blyth (West Wemyss)
Givens/Normand (Dysart)
Clark/Lister (Dysart)
Wilkinson/Simson (Kettle or Kettlehill)

Jeanette - the Archways site is open now and it only give me the name A.H.Lemon of Pakaraka.

His death is not in the NZbdm as A.H Lemon so I'm not sure who he is.

There was a Mrs A.Lemon in Pakaraka in 1915 in the Sheep return A to Js. I wonder if this means her husband died in 1915 as on Harry Manuel Lemons Archways file his father 1915 is NOK or maybe she just did the paperwork for the farm?

I think I may have found something
http://kiwikiwi.maori.nz/ourstory/

Remana Hare Kiwikiwi Lemon (died 1924)
Arihi Alice Kiwikiwi Lemon, nee Cope (Alice Lemon) of Pakaraka

Remana Lemon could be the H.Lemon or Hare Lemon

I see the information dates back to 2004, so emailing them might not work but I could ask a local about the people on the site

Wemyss/Crombie/Laing/Blyth (West Wemyss)
Givens/Normand (Dysart)
Clark/Lister (Dysart)
Wilkinson/Simson (Kettle or Kettlehill)
