Family search have Irish Civil Registrations indexed - Births Deaths and Marriages  free on this link

While the starting dates are 1845 for Civil Marriages and 1864 for births and deaths, they may hold some useful info for you.  Ages at death are given so if for example a person is in a Death record aged 50 in 1864, you can work out an approximate birth date.

All of Ireland's Catholic Church records will be free to view this summer when they go online , the National Library of Ireland are doing this.
