Heywood,
1851 census HO 107/ 1490/ 420/ 76/ sched 429 - no 8 (9 deleted) Earl Street, a house with an alarming amount of multiple occupancy. Their oldest daughter Jane was very pregnant, too and had a baby there a few weeks later.

There are occupants at 8 and 9 and several crossings out as you say. I saw the family previously and checked that address in 1861 and they are not there.
Not sure if you misunderstood my message.

I did. I thought you hadn't found them in 1851. Thanks anyway. I hope to get an address for Jane in 1863 in the next post; she was on her 2nd marriage (bigamous, like her 3rd.....)

What name was she known as on marriage? Could she be a different name in 1861?
