Elizabeth where did she go?
« on: Friday 10 April 15 08:19 BST (UK) »
 ;)Hi all,

my 2x great grandparents James & Mary Casey's first child was born 1851, she and her parents can be seen lodging with a family called Mullin { 1851 census }

1861 census shows James & Mary Ann at 53 Bridewell Row Old Monkland,

1871 shows James & Mary & 4 children in Sheffield, i'm not sure if Elizabeth is among these,
although one of the children Margaret was staying with another family called Teirney,
can some one please tell me what happened to the first born child Elizabeth, all the children
of James & Mary married here in Stockton on Tees, not come across Elizabeth at all?

Many thanks Derek ;)

I did a quick check on Scotland's people but could not find a marriage or death there before 1871.
I could not find a likely census but I did come across the following possibility.
ELIZABETH CASEY death registered SHEFFIELD Q2/1862 – 9c/184

Colin
Clarke, Trickett, Orton, Lawless, Norton, Detheridge, Kirby, Goodfellow, Wagstaff, Lowe, etc.

Hi Colin,

in 1862 the family arrived in my home town of Stockton on Tees { then Durham }
not sure how long the family stayed but then they travelled down in to Yorkshire area,
in 1862 Elizabeth would have been 12? if she didn't die in Stockton and went to Yorkshire
area she may have grown up there, just wasn't sure where to put my posting, Lanarkshire
or Yorkshire.
Thank you so much for time and kindness.
All the best ;)

 ;) Hi Colin,
just remembered my 2x great grandad James had two brother's in Huddersfield & Sheffield area,
1860 onwards, but Elizabeth born 1851 would only have been 11-12 surely she wouldn't have travelled down there to work at that age would she, does death in Sheffield give any parents first
names.

All the best to all ;)
