LINKS: Derbyshire Parish Record Images on Familysearch 1537-1918

This might not be new but as i have just discovered them I thought I would let you know.

Family Search now has an indexed Derbyshire Parish records section that feature's the actual images - all FREE of Charge

Either it's fairly new, or I'd just not seen it before! (it says copyright 2015 at the bottom of the page?)
I know the Cheshire ones on familysearch just take to you to findmypast,
so maybe I thought the Derbyshire ones were the same.

I've been able to look at many of my Derbyshire folk now though. Fantastic!
Pity they don't let you download the images (something to do with the agreement they have from Derbyshire RO I guess), but good to see the actual registers.

Disappointingly not all parishes are covered - I see there is nothing for Hartington,
Earlsterndale or Hope, and although there is an icon for images for Whittington, when you get to the
image page, it says 'image not available' - frustrating!
I wonder if they are going to be adding any more.

We must be grateful for small mercies though, and thank familysearch for their help.

you can save copy of page Derbyshire P Registers,  just right click and then save as.

However you cannot publish this in any form.
