Marriage for John Foster

Help needed
 I'm unable to find the marriage between John Foster (1808 Buckinghamshire) and Rose Ann McCoy (1815 Liverpool) possibly around  1844 maybe in Liverpool or China as he was in the army.

Maybe they never married or as you say married abroad  :-\

Can't see a marriage in England/Wales. 

Where are they living (separate presume) in 1841?

Have you checked out the 1850 marriage of Rose Ann McCoy in Liverpool (q/e Sep, vol 20 page 166)?

One of the possible spouses is John"Hastie"  - could be a mistranscribed Foster?

Forget that one - she married a William Cooper

Ah you might be right with China I see from the 1851 census they have a child born there.

Although that's not the oldest child - the oldest child on the 1851 is born Eaton Bray Bedfordshire.

Wrong groom for the 1850 marriage - Rose Ann married William Cooper  :(

Sorry think the age is wrong for one child on the 1851  :-[

On 1861 it is the oldest child born China sorry for mix up!

There's a marriage in Liverpool RD in q/e September 1839: Rosanna McCoy and John Forster.
(Vol 20 page 355)


Per Lancs BMD it was "Register Office or Registrar Attended"

          Thank you this could be them, noticed foster spelt wrong maybe that's why I  was unable to find them. :)  now to see if I can find them in 1841. :)
