Hi BumbleB and anyone who may have been following this thread.   I found the death of William Robert Sanders in Granville, Sydney, NSW, Australia.  He died in 1947, Father: George, Mother: Janet.  So he lived to a ripe old age of about 89.  I guess George and Janet may be from Manchester given their son was a Stone Mason from Manchester on his marriage reg.
His wife, Hannah nee Boon died 30 Mar 1944 in Manly, Sydney, which is where my uncle, their son-in-law, lived.      I am more than happy with what I have learned so far from this, and other, sites.
Wonderful resources.
Cheers, Aussie Bob   :)
