Many thanks for finding all the info, Please can someone tell me if  there is website much the same as our PP for Australia.

Also would there be any shipping lists around  between  1937 and say 1943, I also thinking that the 1943  e/roll  at Melbourne is   our man Joseph Reid, But  as the only child, I sort of find it hard to think that he would leave his mother Agnes,( who knows this answer,) as she died in 1949 ChCh.

Very probably the same "Joseph Reid TAYLOR" who appears on Australian Electoral rolls (Queensland) from 1949 - 1958 -  listed variously as commercial traveller / salesman / business manager / company director.   No apparent entries for 1960's.   Next is 1977 (QLD) -- lastly at Bowman (Greenslopes) QLD in 1980.

From 1949 there's a "Lola Merle TAYLOR" home duties, same address ... and in 1977 and 1980, a "Noela Elizabeth TAYLOR",  h/duties, same address.
[There's a listing for 1943 too at VIC - Melbourne Ports - St. Kilda West -- occupation:  Supervisor ??]

Hi ... just amending the above ^ to show that "Noela Elizabeth TAYLOR" was at same address as Joseph Reid TAYLOR in 1980 also. 
[Not important, but should mention there were two women of above name (same unusual spelling of Noela) on Queensland rolls. ]
