The parish registers for St Leonard, Bilston (available on FindMyPast)  confirm the baptisms of these children to Thomas and Eleanor Holme/s (no further information)

BUT - and this is why you have to look at the parish registers, rather than rely on transcriptions  ;D

12 February 1756 - in the night preceding, particularly from 12 o'clock till 5 this morning, we had the greatest storm or rather hurricane of wind ever known in the memory of man, which did considerable damage in these parts, by blowing down houses, chimneys, barns, ricks etc but praised be God I have not heard that any person was killed.    :D

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
Remember - "They'll be found when they want to be found" !!!
If you don't ask the question, you won't get an answer.

Hi
If it was me I'd be going for this couple as his parents
Benjamin Holmes and Mary Barnley married St Peters Wolverhampton 9.1.1732 both of this parish
children
Thomas bapt 9.12.1733 St Giles Willenhall
Benjamin  buried 21.12.1735
Benjamin bapt 14.12.1735

I know he's be a bit young to have a child in 1752 but it's the only one in the area.
