Whitwell Colliery near Sherburn Village Co Durham

Hi can anyone give me directions to the site of the old Whitwell Colliery , where my ancestors lived ? There's only lumps and bumps in the grass now where the houses used to be. I was there 30 yrs ago . It was near an old signal box. Thanks Nick
