Mathew Mulguin and John Mulguin
« on: Monday 04 May 15 14:31 BST (UK) »
I have these 2 lads Mathew Mulguin and John Mulguin on the 1911 c as nephews to James and Johanna O'Connor both lads being born Holloway Islington London. I have
Mathew born 24th Jan 1905 died March 1983 Ealing Middesex
John born 1895 age 6 I think on 1911 c.
Now to be living with James am I right to say these could be a sisters children? if so can anyone find her please.
James was born 1859 Cork Ireland. I can find no marriage for him and Johanna but says they have been married 26 years.
Will be grateful for any info on these people
thanks .

Hi thanks for the reply, I was thinking that Mathew and John would be sons of a sister to James or Johanna? to be nephews but have no other info on family for these or even a marriage for them

I think that is the wrong Mulquin family. William also being an uncle to young Matthew rather than father.
This is more likely.

Free BMD marriage
Marylebone June 1892 Catherine Healy and Matthew Mulquin.

1901 175/138/32. Transcribed as Mubquine

Matthew Mubquine 41 yrs
Kate 29 yrs
John 6 yrs
Maggie 5 yrs
William 2 yrs

Death
Matthew Mulquin 1908
Probate granted to Kate Mulquin widow.
However, Kate/ Catherine dies the following year and probate for both is then granted to Patrick Healy.

I think Healy is the connection.

Free BMD marriage
Hampstead 1884
Hannah Healy and James O'Connor.

Both Catherine, wife of Matthew and Johanna/Hannah were born Limerick.
The Mulquins were born Kerry.

You would really need the appropriate certificates however to check for surnames.

What do you think, Thomasina?
Does any of that help you?
Is your interest in the O'Connors or Mulquins?

Vincent's birth certificate will give you his mother's maiden name and then you can look for a marriage.
As I said Healy seems to be significant.
