Not much help but........
There is a burial record for a Thomas Vessey 19 years.
He was buried  11 July 1854 at St Anthony's
His address Adlington St.
Could be that this is the same Thomas who is shown as a nephew on the 1851 census although his age on the burial record is out by a couple of years. ::)

Just found a marriage for an Anthony Vasey.
He's a widower and married Ellen Leonard 4 May 1847  at St Nicholas.
Both give their address as Adlington St
Anthony's father is Bartholomew Vasey

Letting my imagination run riot and clutching at straws  ::)
Could it be that Mary Conroy/Conlon was not a spinster as she said on her marriage to William Daley. ..1841 has her as a widow......and her maiden name was Veasey.
I'm basing this on the flimsiest fact that Mary's father was also Bartholomew.

I have just found on the 1841 census a 20 Year old William Daley, Block Maker, born in County which further makes me think that the connection to the Veasey's is with Mary Conroy/Conlon.
Interestingly there is also a 7 month old John Conroy on the same page and if I have the correct record for 1851 shows him as a Pauper Liverpool workhouse.

Oh right, thanks for pointing that out about Dale Street, the Adlington Street connection sounds interesting though. On the lanc.opc website they just transcribe their residences as Everton?

It does look very probable that Sarah Hughes of Adlington Street is the witness.
Are you saying that the Veasey/Heap marriage is on Lancs OPC? Do you not have the marriage certificate?

No, I do not have the actual certificate, and took the information from the OPC and FamilySearch. If only witnesses gave their relationships to the bride and groom or their address!

Wow, thanks so much, I didn't notice this, probably because it was under Vessey. I should think that this was him. I think Ann and Thomas are probably brother and sister, but I haven't been able to find any birth records/baptisms/christenings for him, so.

Wow, thanks ever so much! I knew about Anthony's marriage to Ellen, but hadn't found that information for his marriage. Was that on the OPC website for Lancs? Anthony is probably not the Anthony born in 1830 to Lancelot Veasey in Durham then- maybe their father was Bartholomew- and perhaps that is how Mary's related? You do say that Anthony was a widower- maybe he was Ann's real father?

After finding Anthony's marriage, I did some researching and found his census form for 1851, living with Ellen.

He's born 1802 in Ireland and is the parish scavenger, living in Adlington Street again. His wife Ellen much younger.

Children- James 1843 L'pool (previous marriage?)
Daniel 1848 L'pool - Catholic baptism on ancestry
Ellen 1851 L'pool
Margaret 1831 L'pool (previous marriage?)

I also found Thomas Vesey born to them in 1855 on the Catholic baptisms, and could trace Daniel on the censuses, but haven't been able to find the others so far.

Interestingly enough, John Veasey born 1831 on the 1841 census with John and Margaret seems to be born 1832 L'pool on 1861 living in Staffordshire with a son Daniel, and Daniel Vesey I mentioned above moved to Staffs?
