I have established that Elizabeth Jackson née Ellerington died aged 23 at Bulmer St., Newcastle on 15th Dec. 1865. She was the first wife of William Jackson. JenB suggested the following lookup to see if she was buried at St Andrews Cemetery.

"Bulmer Street was in the Parish of St Andrew, Newcastle upon Tyne.

It's possible, therefore, that the burial was at St Andrews Cemetery which opened in 1857.

The burial books are on microfilm at Tyne & Wear Archives - some Rootschatters visit there from time to time."

You have the birth certificate for Amos, the son.  Just as  important is that he was baptised at St. Andrew so the mother is more apt to be buried there 2 years later as they already had a history in  that church.

Are there burial records for St Andrew's that I can access online?

I am happy to be proved wrong, but I think I'm right in saying that burials at the churchyard of St Andrews ceased in the mid 1850's, after which burials took place at the new cemetery,which I mentioned in my earlier posting.

As far as I'm aware the cemetery records aren't available online.

If anybody is visiting the Tyne and Wear archives and can look up Elizabeth Jackson as being buried in the new St Andrews cemetery which opened in 1857. I would really appreciate it.
