At NSW state records http://www.records.nsw.gov.au/ there is a deceased estate file for Mary S LEIPNER who died in Cremorne on 23/2/1923

I can photograph this for you when next there - it may possibly contain  her death cert.

William INGRAM was already deceased at time of first marriage in 1866

Here is the NZ death of Henry LEIPNER

1928/1859 LEIPNER Henry Bruce
Aged  68Y

Their daughter Linda was married in NZ and this item will give a nice picture of  the occasion.

1909 SMH
http://trove.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/article/15060015

She married R M SHELDON.

1909/1764 Linda Olive  LEIPNER
To Reginald Middleton  SHELDON

There was possibly  an estrangement between the couple Henry LEIPNER and his wife Sarah Mary.
The item above does say...

"As the bride's mother is in Sydney...."

I wonder if he remarried since the article refers to Linda as "the daughter of Mr and Mrs Leipner of Reefton NZ" I will query the New Zealand board.

No marriage recorded on NZ indexes, but he could have been living with someone else? I think as per usual just bad wording in family notices. ::)

I wonder if he remarried since the article refers to Linda as "the daughter of Mr and Mrs Leipner of Reefton NZ" I will query the New Zealand board.

If he had remarried, that would not make Linda the daughter of the new wife.

So "the daughter of Mr and Mrs Leipner of Reefton NZ"  could not be stated in such  case.

However, I would say it is unusual to be absent for the marriage of your only daughter.

Possibly other factors came into things
